DESIGN VISUALIZATION
Utilizing engineering knowledge and meaningful data, visualizations were created, translating processes that are difficult to understand on paper to an animation and visualization so anyone can comprehend a project. The challenge in the projects included below was to get stakeholder approval and community acceptance while also giving the client a package they could use for future projects. In most of the projects below and those found at https://www.pennoni.com/pfx_video/ video editing, sound design and motion graphics design were performed by the one-woman-team of just me!
CITY OF PLAINFIELD
This gorgeous modern-meets-historic streetscape was created with very little info from the client. My role involved providing sound design and video editing supporting the modern-style vibe the client wanted to present as the future of the City of Plainfield. The animation was supported by motion graphics made in-house highlighting key parts of the project to stakeholders, such as the preservation of historic storefronts and new landscaping and pedestrian walkways.
LAFAYETTE COLLEGE
Lafayette College guarantees campus housing to all enrolled students, and to account for an increased student population, Lafayette began the process of developing a new mixed-use dormitory on McCartney Street. Pennoni developed a scaled design visualization video to show city officials and the public what the completed building would look like. My contribution to this project included sound design, video editing and motion graphics design.
BTS BIOENERGY
Before this project, visualizations tended to be only fly-through videos. We stepped up our game and included a compelling intro with the theme of "why is this a problem for everyone?" and how our client would solve that problem. In addition to that, we outlined the process so that it was shorter and easier to digest while also explaining these buildings help the environment as opposed to hurting it as many would think. My role in this project involved story-boarding, video editing, color correction, and motion graphics design.
TIRE GASIFICATION
Similar to the previous project, BTS Bioenergy, the main task for this project was to explain a complicated process in a visual and easily understood way. This video was used to present this novel concept to the White House. Story-boarding, video editing, and motion graphics design was performed by me.
